Dr. Autumn Bernal has over 20 years of experience in the field of toxicology, which includes a diverse background working with consumer product manufacturers, the pharmaceutical industry, and various large and small clients to address complex toxicology issues during product development and in preparation of regulatory dossiers.
 

After 10 years of performing bench research in academic and biotechnology sectors, Autumn realized her passion for communicating science and applying toxicological research outside the laboratory. As a consulting toxicologist, she works closely with scientific and executive teams, being comfortable working side-by-side with and motivating other toxicologists to prepare detailed reports for regulatory submissions, managing and leading teams to complete large-scale nonclinical projects, communicating with governmental regulators in scientific advisory meetings, and advising executive leaders on business development, product development, and regulatory strategy for their business.

 

With her diverse experience across many levels of organization, Autumn is able to approach every project with wisdom, independent thought, and flexibility to develop creative solutions. She has been an integral collaborator on successful regulatory submissions and in improving medicinal and consumer products for greater regulatory success. She enjoys developing quantitative approaches to estimate potential long term health risks, and imagining and actualizing tools for toxicological risk assessment.
